HEMA
Historical European Martial Arts
The HEMA designate all martial art in european history until the massive use of fire amrs.
Between the study of ancient text and iconography and the practice of those technics in sparing, HEMA can focus on every weapon age.
With a huge emphasis on interpretation and fighting, it was the perfect sport for a history nerd like me.
By the way, I study sword and buckler.
TABLETOP RPG
Where friendships are made (and loose)
Since 2015, I have participate in tons of games on different universes, from the classical D&D to our own custom universes or the official Dishonored tabletop game.
Sometime as player, sometime as GM I just want to have a good time and see how far you can try to abuse the rules with incredibly complex and overpowered skills.
And its always a pleasure to betray your best friends :)
LORE
Nothing is better than deep universes
Theres not a lot of things that can make me talk passionetly for hours. But lore can. Exploring a deep and rich universe, may it be in games and books or dedicated website, it can make me travel and stimulate my imagination and my love of History.
May it be Elder Scrolls, League of Legends, Warhammer 40k or Warframe, I just love them. It's incredible to see what stories hide behind a place or a people, how does the writers exploit the universe to create something new, how they will surprise you or how does the character and gameplay are link to it.
HISTORY
I wanted to become a history teacher before studying video games
I always loved History (who could have guessed after the LORE part just above).
How certains laws were created, why we speak a precise language, who were our ancestors, how they lived, how they fought and why? All those fascinating questions and more can be answered with a bit of research. Whatever you want to study, you can't always have all the answers, but I just find it absolutly fascinating.
