Who am I?
I am an intern QA tester for Firesquid, the editing branch of Lightbulb Crew, a parisian studio.
Before that, I studied 4 years at Bellecour École in Lyon, I studied many subject around the design of games. Game Design of course, but also, level, narrative, economic and system design, and a few more.
I love to work with all parts of the teams, the artists, other QA, the programmers or the designers. I can learn many things from them, while participating to what I care the most in art : consistency and the absence of bad frustration.
My vision of designing games and maps
Consistency is for me one of the most important thing in art, whether you are writing a story or designing a level. Making sure that the player is always invested and asking himself the good questions in the game is a job of every moment.
And for frustration, I think there is the good one and the bad one.
The good one is the one you feel when you almost archieved something before failing because you weren't ready enough, the frustration that makes you retry. The bad frustration, that gives you the impression that the game is against you and has no faireness or consistency in his design or reward elements. Delivering the best experience possible is always my goal, and it is always an honor to work with new people on any project.
